Jakarta Immersive Festival >< Jakarta Light Festival – Ramadan Kareem

Illuminating Ramadan Through Art, Technology, and Light

Jakarta Immersive Festival x Jakarta Light Festival – Ramadan Kareem is a creative celebration that transforms Jakarta’s public space into an immersive journey of light, culture, and togetherness.

Designed to capture the spirit of Ramadan through a contemporary visual language, the festival brings together immersive art, architectural lighting, interactive installations, and thematic light sculptures. Each installation is carefully designed to create an atmosphere that invites visitors to explore, interact, and experience the space from a different perspective.

The creative direction combines the warmth and spirituality of Ramadan with the energy of Jakarta as a modern metropolitan city. Glowing structures, illuminated patterns, arches, lantern-inspired forms, and colorful light compositions create a visual environment that feels festive while maintaining a sense of calm and reflection.

Light becomes more than a decorative element. It represents hope, guidance, warmth, and togetherness—values that are deeply connected to the spirit of Ramadan. Through the interplay of light, shadow, color, movement, and space, the festival creates an environment where technology and artistic expression come together to tell a meaningful story.

The project also demonstrates how creative activation can transform an ordinary urban environment into a destination for community interaction. Families, young people, tourists, and local communities are invited to gather, explore the installations, capture memorable moments, and experience Ramadan in a contemporary and inclusive setting.

Beyond its visual spectacle, Jakarta Immersive Festival x Jakarta Light Festival – Ramadan Kareem reflects Jakarta’s evolving identity as a global, creative, and inclusive city. It showcases how art, technology, and public-space activation can work together to create memorable urban experiences while celebrating the cultural and spiritual character of the city.

Through this project, Jakarta Light Festival continues its exploration of light as a medium for storytelling—connecting people, culture, technology, and the city in one immersive experience.
